FIFARMA W.A.I.T. Indicator 2026 - Brasil
O Patient W.A.I.T.
FIFARMA W.A.I.T. Indicator 2026 - Brazil
The Patient W.A.I.T. Indicator 2026 – Brazil, developed by FIFARMA in collaboration with IQVIA, analyzes the availability of and access to innovative medicines in the country. The study shows that only 19% of innovative molecules are fully available in Brazil, while the average time to access reaches 5.5 years. The report identifies the main barriers affecting access, as well as opportunities to improve the availability of innovation to patients.
FIFARMA Patient W.A.I.T. Indicator 2026 (ESP)

Strengthening Regulatory Systems Through Reliance: Launch of the Latin America Monitoring Initiative
Regulation can help shorten the time it takes to access more and better health solutions.
There are tools that prevent duplication of processes by leveraging assessments already conducted by leading international regulatory authorities.
This allows patients to access safe and effective treatments more quickly. However, the challenge remains in effectively implementing these tools across the region.
Learn what is working, where the gaps are, and what is needed to move forward in the new study by FIFARMA’s Regulatory Reliance Monitoring Center.
FIFARMA Patient W.A.I.T. Indicator 2026 — Latin America
This summary report, developed by FIFARMA in collaboration with IQVIA, presents the key findings of the Patient W.A.I.T. Indicator 2026 for Latin America, analyzing access to and availability of innovative medicines across ten countries in the region. This year’s study includes 447 innovative molecules approved globally between 2014 and 2025, representing more than 80% of the new active substances approved worldwide during that period. The report provides an analysis of the availability and accessibility of innovative medicines in Latin America, as well as differences across healthcare systems. This preview corresponds to a summary, and the full study will be available soon.
FIFARMA Time to Vax 2025
The FIFARMA Time to Vax 2025, developed by FIFARMA in collaboration with IQVIA, is the first regional study to analyze access to and availability of innovative vaccines across twelve countries in Latin America. Based on a methodology inspired by the indicator of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), the report evaluates 29 vaccines approved globally between 2010 and 2025, examining the time to local approval, levels of public and private availability, and the role of the Pan American Health Organization’s Revolving Fund. The study identifies progress, but also persistent gaps between approval and public coverage, contributing evidence to strengthen timely access to innovative vaccines in the region.
FIFARMA Time to Vax 2025
