This summary report, developed by FIFARMA in collaboration with IQVIA, presents the key findings of the Patient W.A.I.T. Indicator 2026 for Latin America, analyzing access to and availability of innovative medicines across ten countries in the region. This year’s study includes 447 innovative molecules approved globally between 2014 and 2025, representing more than 80% of the new active substances approved worldwide during that period. The report provides an analysis of the availability and accessibility of innovative medicines in Latin America, as well as differences across healthcare systems.
