Soren Giese moved into the role of Vice President & General Manager Latin America in September 2022. Soren joined Amgen in 2016 as Executive Director, Commercial Operations & Business Strategy for the Intercontinental Region. In addition to his regional role, Soren also stepped in as the GM for Colombia for 9 months. After his assignment in Colombia, Soren took over as the regional marketing lead for the General Medicine business in the Intercontinental region. Soren was appointed as General Manager Italy in July 2019.
Prior to joining Amgen, Soren worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb for 16 years, with a range of experiences in both the U.S. and international markets. In his last role, he was the General Manager in Russia and before that he led the Cardiology and Metabolics business unit in Mexico.
Soren studied at the University of Braunschweig in Germany, received a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Utah and an MBA from Lehigh University.
