This report, developed by FIFARMA in collaboration with IQVIA, analyzes access to innovative medicines in Latin America and the main barriers influencing their availability. The study shows that, on average, patients wait 5.7 years from the global approval of an innovative therapy until it becomes available. Based on the analysis of 447 innovative molecules approved between 2014 and 2025 in ten countries across the region, the report identifies opportunities to improve access and strengthen health systems in the face of innovation.
