Value-Based
Healthcare
FIFARMA and its members are partnering with different experts to understand and develop thinking around innovative frameworks and approaches that can contribute to health systems, sustainability and help patients access new medicines while preserving incentives for innovation. Value-Based Healthcare includes concepts to assign value to health and societal outcomes and measure the impact of medicines and treatments.
Quality & Safety
The safety and integrity of medicines is paramount to the biopharmaceutical industry as a whole and is a key area of focus for FIFARMA and its members in Latin America. To protect patient health, consistent high-quality standards and effective drug safety surveillance should be enforced by regulatory oversight throughout the life cycle of any medicinal product.
Innovation
Framework
The pharmaceutical industry’s contribution to society is based on lasting innovation to improve the lives of patients. FIFARMA supports a framework of policies that support research and development and can allow innovation to flourish – including efficient and effective regulatory systems and standards, rule of law, and intellectual property protections, as well as a spirit of openness, collaboration and engagement between the public and private sector, and civil society.
