Rolf E. Hoenger - Area Head Latam Roche
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and in order to strengthen his knowledge of health systems and the public sector, he recently completed a Master’s in Public Health at Queen Mary University of London, where he was able to broaden his experience in the formulation of public policies at the local, regional and international levels to continue building more sustainable health systems in the region.
Starting his career with the Roche Group in 1993 as Market Manager Central Asia, Rolf founded the company's operations in this region. He then continued his career to Latin America, where he has served as General Manager of Roche Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador; Director of Business Development for Latin America; Marketing and Sales Manager for Central America and the Caribbean; and, most recently, General Manager of Roche Brazil.
Rolf currently serves as Area Head for Roche Pharma LATAM, where he contributes to regional strategic efforts to advance access to quality healthcare and drive the transformation of healthcare systems towards a more personalized, patient-centered approach to care. Rolf has two daughters, who like him, pursue the dream of helping others and making a difference in people's lives. His oldest daughter is dedicated to educating children with special needs and her youngest is pursuing a master's degree in research to find a cure for cancer.
