IFPMA recently organized the “LatAm Ethics & Business Integrity Days”, in partnership with CETIFARMA and AMIIF, including support from CANIFARMA and FIFARMA. The training took place in Mexico City on April 2nd-3rd.

The sessions were guided by international experts from IFPMA, who focused on sharing the value of the New IFPMA Code, which was launched in January 2019.

The first session held at the Barcelo Reforma Hotel on April 2nd was titled “Hands on Code Capacity Workshop”. IFPMA experts offered practical tools to increase the level of ethical behavior in activities conducted by biopharmaceutical organizations and how to implement them at the local level, within the framework of the new Code of Practice.

During the following session, conducted on April 3rd at the Palacio de la Escuela de Medicina, the training topic was Confianza en los sistemas de Salud/ Trust in Healthcare Systems. Trust is a central value at the core of the new Code, so IFPMA took the opportunity to underscore this critical notion and to promote the role of Trust among regulatory authorities and health professionals to generate an efficient health system.

At FIFARMA we support those initiatives and projects that foster transparency and ethical conducts in the biopharmaceutical industry. As signatory partners of IFPMA’s new Code of Practice, we promote its implementation in Latin America.
